The Round House, located on the Carlton Trail Railway Yard, is one of only two historic roundhouse locomotive repair facilities still in operation in Canada. The semi-circular building is oriented around a large hydraulic turntable which rotates the enormous diesel locomotives into position before they are piloted into the building for maintenance.
