Prince Albert

Prince Albert is named for the Prince Consort to Queen Victoria of England. The city was founded in 1866 by Reverend James Nisbet. It officially became a city in 1904.

In the last century, Prince Albert has become the hub for forestry, mining, agriculture and tourism in North Central Saskatchewan. For more in depth information visit http://patourism.ca/history.aspx or http://www.answers.com/topic/prince-albert-saskatchewan.
